The most effective use of space ever! There are hidden drawers under the counters and cabinets everywhere so everything has a place and the relatively small condo stays clean and uncluttered and feels spacious. Also it is in the best location. I was there in the summer with my dog and we went for lovely long walks right from the front door and walked over to a lake with clean clear water where we both enjoyed swimming. In the mornings we walked up a trail to the ski resort to get coffee right where the ski lifts are. I'm definitely coming back during ski season.

Great location. Happy that we could bring our dog. Big Sky people seem to love dogs. The condo had fun ways to store all of your belongings with hooks in strategic locations, making a 400 sq ft condo very livable. As other people have posted, you can’t really walk to ski lifts (.5 miles), but shuttles are very convenient. I would stay again!

Overall it was what we were looking for. The listing says you can walk to the ski lifts, but I would say while technically true, it isn't entirely practical. Still, we expected this based on the other reviews, so we weren't caught off guard, but if you're thinking you can walk with all your ski gear to the ski lifts, maybe consider otherwise. Other than that things were as pictured and described. The place isn't particularly glamorous, but its draw is the proximity to the base area, and it was a lot more affordable than the other options that were as close. Also the kitchen was way more stocked with cooking equipment and spices than I would expect, so if you're planning to cook, that is a big plus. We did have a bit of a snag with the parking pass not being at the unit, causing us to get a practically unremovable sticker on our rental car. Felt like the hosts could have handled that a bit better, but everything ended up being fine, so no harm no foul. Would recommend!

Great having two beds and both were super comfortable. Erich graciously let us arrive a couple of hours early and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. Great location. For those getting the trolly to go skiing from this condo - the path right next to the building is a nice little walk through the trees and gets you to the Levinsky lot. Much easier than walking to the road up to the Gallatin lot (and safer!). Great location!

If you're driving, just be aware that you will likely have to move your car based on the plowing schedule for the condo parking lot and make sure to understand the differentiation between the upper and lower lots. Otherwise you risk a steep parking ticket and booted tire!

Jake & Sally are such great hosts. Sally really goes above and beyond to help- just so personable and sweet. The condo unit is PERFECT right in the heart of Big Sky surrounded by evergreen pine trees, animals and fresh air. The unit is truly a TREASURE- the hosts thought of everything you may need and provides it in the unit in bathroom and kitchen making it the best place we’ve rented so far-you’ll feel at home. We loved the kitchen and oven, the beds are so comfortable and we were surprised there’s a little room. The place is cozy and warm. Heaters and internet work perfectly. The interior is clean, thoughtful and creative. The Ski resort is next door and about an hour from West Yellowstone entrance. The unit is close to groceries and town village where there are restaurants and shopping. Our son loved playing in the playground after hiking in Ousal Falls and mailed out some postcards. Thank you for such a heavenly stay.

Our stay in Big Sky exceeded our expectations, largely due to the hospitality showed to us by Jake and Sally. The apartment was a perfect, cozy, well-equipped Airbnb for our time in Montana and Wyoming. Everything you could need or think of - pantry staples, kitchenware, bathroom supplies, etc. - was provided. Jake and Sally were beyond hospitable, checked in on us multiple times, quick to respond to any questions. Sally shared with us some tips for how to maximize our time in Yellowstone and the must-see attractions during our time there. The entire apartment was extremely comfortable - you will love staying in this cozy, warm spot especially during cold/rainy season. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I would consider staying here again if I return to Big Sky and would certainly recommend it. Thanks to Jake and Sally again for the experience and for being amazing hosts!

Also, it’s only 10 minutes walking to there ski hill. But Sky also has a trailer shuttle that shuttles you to the lower parking lots which happen to be right next to the condo - so it’s really easy and don’t even need to drive the ski hill!

It started off great with great communication from Jake and we were able to check in early to change before hitting the slopes rather than changing in the parking lot at the resort. We loved being so close to the slopes, it made a great ski vacation even better. The tap water is mountain well water that tastes awesome that we filled our water bottles with. Don’t bother bringing or buying water. There were condiments and a few things in the fridge so don’t bother bringing those either. We also loved the game and dvd selection that was a nice touch. We’d love to return there soon for another cozy stay and more skiing at a spectacular mountain

The studio is very well decorated and clean. It is owned by a family with Sally living directly across the hall, who was very kind. It is a studio and though doable with 4 adults, make sure you really like who you are staying with as it is tight! My only real concern was finding out the day before that the wifi was out and we would not have access for the week we were there. It was of no fault of owners as new aluminum siding had just gone up interfering with the signal, but I was on a work trip and although I went to a coffee shop nearby to get stuff done, I really needed a private place to make calls and have internet access. Otherwise I highly recommend! Thank you!

Cozy and nicely appointed temporary home for our crew! What it lacked in space, it more than made up for in touch. Our family slept comfortably in the two beds and enjoyed making a meal in the kitchen which, while small, was well-equipped. Maps and local mags gave hints to goings-on in the area. The advance greeting made for a seamless intro. Give yourself ten minutes from the downtown Big Sky, and if you have the option grab groceries in Bozeman. (Big Sky grocery stores were nice but slightly more expensive). if you’re headed to Yellowstone, give yourself an hour for the beautiful drive to the west entrance and get there early in summer (before 7:30). (Note: the condo complex is undergoing an exterior recladding. Jake’s unit was updated first and looks great. Anyone renting between summer and early fall should anticipate in-progress work but not be concerned it will negatively affect your stay).

We generally enjoyed our stay at Jake’s place with some minor complaints. There was no internet available and the walk to base camp is about 12 minutes, not six. The bedroom is very small and has no plug for a phone and no side table. The bedroom lighting was minimal. The indoor bike hooks were handy and the kitchen is well stocked. There is currently construction going on outside on the building. Overall it’s still a decent value but I’ve rented other condos at Big Sky that were nicer and had no problems with internet.

Jake's is a very convenient location to Big Sky. If you cook in the fridge is loaded with supporting essentials. Plenty of pots/pans to cook whatever you desire. Plenty of everything from soap and shampoo to plush towels. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of soft pillows. Sally checked on me after I was settled in to make sure i had everything I needed. Even offered me some milk for my breakfast. You cannot go wrong if you reserve this location. Jake and Sally provided a nice stop for my visit to Montana. Thanks!

Jake's condo on the 2nd floor is a nice and cosy place. It has 2 full beds and a kitchen and fridge that is full with supplies. The drive is some 10-15 minutes from the highway on a winding road, but careful as wildlife is walking on the road before and after sunset.

We had a wonderful stay at Jake's place. His mother Sally was the perfect host and had anything we needed - from a cooler to walking poles to just about anything. The kitchen is very well stocked with just about anything you need, including a lot of food items, and Sally also gave us a bottle of wine. The apartment was very clean, there were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows provided, and the beds were comfortable. It is a small studio apartment, but worked for three of us.

Jake and Sally’s place was exactly as described. They had plenty of everything (towels, bathroom items, kitchen items) and the fridge was loaded with essentials for cooking/eating. Sally was very nice and was there if we needed her. We were only there to sleep, but I think if we had been there more often Sally would have wanted to interact more. She offered to show us a cool spot in Big Sky but we had to hit the road. She is very nice and helpful! The place is about an hour from Yellowstone. We traveled there and back every day and it was not bad. Just try to make it back before dark! If you are looking for a comfy and cheap place to just sleep, this place is for you! Also, during your stay make sure to go to Lone Peak Brewery in Big Sky. The food and drinks are great, as well as the staff! If you go to West Yellowstone eat at Wild West Pizza!
